Prairie City Mentor - Helper program

This one lap "First Timer" assisted/mentored (if needed) race starts at
5:45 on 4/10/13 (race #2) Please be at the start line at 5:30

This race is for anyone 10 years or older who wishes to start racing but might want or need some guidance and help at their first few races. (We can also consider under 10 year olds with some good riding experience).

Racing for the first time can be intimidating. Your mentors/helpers will be there to help guide and coach you. These mentors are just other racers with experience that would like to see others get a good start. They will share their tips and advice and also be there should you need assistance.

Please arrange to be at or near the start line at 5:30pm. This will give you a few minutes to get arranged with a mentor and go over some basics before the race start. Remember, this is for fun, education and learning. You do not need to feel any pressure at this race.

Race will start at 5:45 sharp. We will group those who elect not to have mentors in front followed by those with mentors. Please be aware there may be a beginners split and you will always follow any beginner signs.

After you have raced a few races feel free to move up to the regular Beginners class if you choose. Just be sure you are ready for two laps, that a lot more racers will be on the course and a lot of passing will be going on.

Parents with kids: You may ride along and mentor your own child, provided you have signed a waiver and are also qualified to do a lap around Prairie City.

Adults: Do not be afraid to be mentored/helped. You will learn your skill set much faster and get more out of racing... and riding in general learning from another more experienced rider.

OK now.... let's get out there and have some FUN!
